SO FAR, SO GOOD

In collaboration with zB.foto Baden and Gallerie 94

About the project

In the film La Haine, the phrase ” Jusqu’ici tout va bien ” describes the attempt to delay a catastrophe, leading to the final realization: “What matters isn’t the fall; it’s the landing.” This is the starting point for Swiss artist Kostas Maros and his “Fall Studies” series. He shifts this perspective by photographing people diving into a pool, where the fall ends not in impact, but in water.

The collective exhibition—a collaboration between zB.foto Baden, Gallerie 94, and the Festival—links five projects through a shared life transition: leaving behind an old version of oneself to discover a new one. It explores the tension between past and future, revealing the wonder of the present.

Mirjam Widmer explores caves in the beam of her torch and discovers shapes hidden in the darkness – moments caught between uncertainty and realisation. Yasmine Bollmann-Wetter’s wedding photos capture the “Yes” to a new identity as a couple. Samuel Köppel portrays retirees finding joy beyond professional productivity, defying the stigma of old age. Finally, Julie Alejandro captures the bold world of Drag Queens, showcasing beauty and the desire for acceptance. Together, these works allow us to happily say: “So far, so good.”
