Forever Happy Hour – Photo Screening & Beers
As part of Swiss Photo Month, Fotofestival Lenzburg and Stadtmuseum Aarau invite you to a special evening:
On 4 September, the museum will host a screening of six shortlisted projects from the Forever Happy Open Call, selected from over 240 submissions – offering a visual journey through diverse perspectives on the meaning of happiness.
The evening will also feature the announcement of the near. prize 2025 winner, whose work will be exhibited at the 2026 edition of the Fotofestival Lenzburg and the opportunity to gain an insight into the current photo exhibitions at the Stadtmuseum.

Public Guided Tour: Synthesis in time

On Saturday, 20 September 2025, at 15:00, we warmly invite you to a public guided tour with Christoph Moser (city history expert) as part of our exhibition Synthese in der Zeit.
Starting at the Stapferhaus and ending at Metzgerplatz, the tour focuses on the history and transformation of Bahnhofstrasse. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours and will be held in German.
The exhibition itself is a digital journey into Lenzburg’s past:
Along a route of 50 red points, designed like time clocks, you will discover how the city has changed over centuries – railway stations, fountains, houses, streets. Everything has a story that deserves to be remembered and reconnected with the present.
