Open Call 2020

Times under Pressure

The Photo Festival Lenzburg, edition 2020 is opening a public international Call for artists on the theme “Times under Pressure”. Submissions for the Photo Festival Lenzburg Open Call are open from November 29th 2019 to February 12th 2020, 23:59 CET. Selection of proposals will be decided by a jury of experts. The Festival will notify the selected photographers by the end of March 2020 by email.

By entering the Competition you hereby accept these competition rules.

Entries must be submitted until the deadline of February the 12th on the Competition platform in Picter, having paid the entry fees and completed the submission form in order to be considered for the competition.

The competition is open to everyone that is 16 years and older, professional and amateur photographers alike.

By entering the Competition, you agree and acknowledge that Photo Festival Lenzburg is permitted to receive and review your registration data. Participants agree that personal data including, but not limited to name, mailing address, phone number and email address, may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used for the purposes of conducting and administering this photo competition. At any time, participants have the right to access, review, rectify or cancel any personal data held by Photo Festival Lenzburg by sending an email to the following address: info@fotofestivallenzburg.ch

The copyright to the images remains the property of the author of the images. Submitting photographers agree that they created the work(s) and/or that they are authorized to use the work(s) as submitted, co-authors and as relevant original sources should be referenced or credited and that our use of the Work(s) for exhibition and PR will not infringe on third party's copyright or other rights. Entrants to the Open Call Showcase represent and warrant that they are the authors and owners of the copyright to all images submitted and that their entries do not infringe upon privacy rights, copyright or any other rights of any person. The submitters warrant that their photographs do not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law. The Submitter agrees to fully indemnify Photo Festival Lenzburg in respect of all royalties, fees and any other monies owing to any person by reason of your breaching any of the foregoing.

The organizer reserves the right to free reproduction and exhibition of the submitted images in all media, printed marketing material, publication and online, in connection with Photo Festival Lenzburg and its promotion. The copyright will, at all times, be retained by the photographer and, where an image or images are reproduced by the organizer, the photographer will be credited. By participating, all selected applicants grant Photo Festival Lenzburg and its Authorized Parties usage of images and acknowledge that any Festival and Authorized Party may use the entries and a name credit in any media before, during and after, without restriction in relation to the uses stated above. The Photo Festival Lenzburg and Authorized Parties will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such use.

The theme of this year’s call for artworks is Times under Pressure.

Entries will be pre-screened by a group of industry professionals. The screened entries are then reviewed by our international jury. The jury will choose the winners. The decisions of the jury are final.

Photos from the exhibition remain in the secure archives of the Photo Festival Lenzburg and will be used solely for the purposes of the archives.

Cash prizes will be paid by wire transfer or other electronic methods.

Photo Festival Lenzburg assumes no responsibility for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Competition.

The organizers reserve the right to possible changes of the rules of competition without prior notice. Any amendments will be published on the website and it is the entrants’ responsibility to review the website for any amendments.

There will be no correspondence about the competition. Legal recourse is excluded.
